Friday night I attended a wine dinner at the Westmark Baranof. What a treat! The food was amazing and the wines paired perfectly with each course. I particularly enjoyed the dessert as it wasn’t too sweet. This was nice because by the time we got to dessert, we were rather full from rich food and something not too decadent was the perfect completion to a sublime meal.
Chef Billy Brownlee has joined the Baranof culinary team and I am sure Juneau can expect nothing but exciting results from this addition. His experience as a chef is extensive and I’m told his roots are in NOLA, which is always a good thing.
